Nokia Batman special edition might return as Nokia 1320

A tweet from ev leaks has brought up the name of a new Windows Phone handset supposedly on the the way. According to the serial leaker, not only is Nokia prepping a model known as the Nokia Lumia 1320, the handset will also be known as the Nokia Batman. Because this is the only information that we know about the unit at the moment, anything is possible.

Nokia has been no stranger to themed handsets that were released to coincide with a new Batman movie. A special edition of the Nokia Lumia 800 celebrated the Dark Knight Rises film. But only 40 units were made and this model of the Lumia 800, with its laser-etched Batman logo on the rear, was not intended for retail sale. The Nokia Lumia 900 also was given the Batman treatment with a special edition that came out last year to celebrate the opening of a new Batman feature. A few of those units are up for sale on eBay with prices ranging from $1100 to $2200.

While a new Batman movie is scheduled to hit theaters next year (Batman vs. Superman), it is unknown whether development of the phone is being timed to coincide with the release of the new flick.
